I Am Pro-Life
We are a pro-life family and church. Every year we, as a family and church, stand for the unborn. For many years now we have attended the annual March for Life, which is held in our nations capital. We are trying to send the message to this country’s legislators that we want Roe vs Wade overturned. Life is a gift from God and no man has the right to take the life of an unborn child.
Each year we rent a tour bus to take as many as will go, to Washington, DC. This year the bus was filled to capacity with a waiting list of those who were left behind. We may need 2 buses next year!
The March for Life was started in 1974 by Nellie Grey, 1 year after the landmark Supreme Court decision of Roe vs Wade, which gave women the right to an abortion. For most of those years the March was held on the anniversary of the decision, January 22. Nellie Grey has passed on, and a new president of March for Life, Jeanne Mancini is leading the group. The last few years, the March has not always been on the anniversary date, this year being held on January 18.
This years estimate of marchers is between 200,000 -300,000.
Some of OUR little marchers.
And bigger marchers.
The above photo brings tears to my eyes-
My twin sons, as loving, caring fathers,
each carrying their sons on their shoulders as they march for life.
How thankful we are for our President, Donald Trump-he spoke to the March for Life through video, giving his support. We are so grateful for what he has done as president; in the conservative Supreme Court justices he has appointed, not giving financial aid to foreign organizations that promote abortion, and his support of right -to-life. Vice-President, Mike Pence and his wife made a surprise visit and spoke also. Ben Shapiro was the main speaker of the event. He is staunchly pro-life and a world class debater. He debunked the myths that have been perpetrated by the pro-choice group.
I thank God for President Trump.
I cannot even imagine what condition our country would be in by now if Hillary Clinton had become president. The terrible, sad news from the state of New York, which she helped promote along with Gov. Cuomo, in the new state law that allows abortion up to birth.
I am shocked that a doctor would perform an abortion on a child in the womb. I am shocked that mothers would have their babies aborted. 61 million healthy babies have been killed since Roe vs Wade was enacted.
Ob/Gyn doctors are reporting that there is never a reason for an abortion. A child will be removed by a C-section if necessary and it’s life saved, if possible. The Center for Disease Control is now reporting that the birth rate in the United States is no longer high enough to keep the country re-populated.
“I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion
because it is a war against the child.
A direct killing of the innocent child,
murder by the mother herself.
And if we can accept that a mother can kill even her own child,
how can we tell other people not to kill each other?”
Mother Teresa
What a sad state our country is in!
We are doing what we can, as a church and as a people….
We vote pro-life, and encourage all we know to vote pro-life, sharing with others the pro-life candidates up for election.
We protest peacefully every year in Washington, DC.
We work with our local pregnancy help center in collecting money to support their work by filling baby bottles with money.
One of the ladies in our church, Martha Taylor (R) uses her time to crochet baby blankets to donate to the local pregnancy help center.
Many of the families in our church are actively involved, or have been involved, in foster care and adoption of children.
We encourage families to have the children that God desires for them.
We are thankful for each child among us.
Children truly are a blessing from God!
The Bible speaks….

Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things does the LORD hate: yea seven are an abomination unto him;
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that diviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among breathren.
