What the Bible Says About Itself

I shared in an earlier post about my new Bible.   (See here)

This Bible is the New Living Translation from Tyndale House Publishers.  There are many different translations of the Bible, and there are many that are critical of many of them.  There are those who will not use anything but the Kings James Version.  Don’t get me wrong,  I do love my King James Bible.  But I have really liked reading this version of the Bible.  Most would agree that some of the readings from the King James are hard or impossible to understand, many times due to the out-dated language and sentence structure.  I have found this New Living Translation very helpful in understanding the original intent of the writers, and in explaining what the scriptures mean.

Included in this Bible is a yearly Bible reading schedule, and a large section on life topics, that I have found very helpful and interesting.

The one draw back and something that I always like, is that there is no pronunciation helps of Bible names and places.
