Breathe on Me, Breath of God

Breathe on me, breath of God;

Fill me with life anew,

That I may love what Thou dost love,

and do what Thou wouldst do.

Breathe on me, breath of God,

Until my heart is pure,

Until with Thee I will one will,

To do and to endure.

Breathe on me, breath of God,

Till I am wholly Thine,

Until this earthly part of me

Glows with Thy fire divine.

Breathe on me, breath of God:

So shall I never die,

But live with Thee the perfect life

Of Thine eternity.

Words-Edwin Hatch, 1878

Music-Robert Jackson, 1894

John 20:22

He breathed on them and said,

‘Receive the Holy Spirit’.

  1. Telling my kids often that I love them and having them say it back to me, telling them “I’m sorry” when I’ve failed because I respect them, teaching them
to be kind to others, and sheltering them as long as I can from the things about growing up that will make them cry.
*Avoid people and situations that are likely to trigger anger.
serve further notice that it’s time to build the Temple.
